Bitcoin Price May Have Hit Bottom at $60K, But $40K Warning Sounds Alarm
Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik believes that Bitcoin has already seen its lowest price for this cycle, and the current levels may mark the bottom of this cycle. He cites Bitcoin's growing role as a hedge against central bank money issuance as a reason why he doesn't expect the price to fall below $60,000 again.
Svanevik argues that with global central banks continuing to expand their balance sheets, Bitcoin's appeal as a store of value strengthens, providing long-term price support. This view aligns with the growing institutional narrative that Bitcoin is a hedge against currency debasement.
However, not everyone shares Svanevik's optimism. Veteran crypto investor Michael Terpin has warned that Bitcoin could fall into the $40,000 range, which would represent a decline of about 66% from its all-time high of $126,100 reached in October 2025.
