Bitcoin Price Nears Critical Liquidation Levels: $1.03B in Long Positions at Risk
Bitcoin's price is closely watched by traders and investors as it approaches critical liquidation levels. According to CoinGlass, if Bitcoin falls below $78,230, approximately $1.03 billion in long positions across major centralized exchanges would be liquidated.
This data highlights the high level of leverage among traders, with many entering long positions with high expectations for continued upside. However, this also means that a sudden market downturn could lead to a cascade of forced selling, accelerating a downward move.
On the other hand, if prices rise above $81,470, around $463.12 million in short liquidations would occur. This indicates that there is a smaller but still substantial pool of short sellers who could be forced to cover their positions if prices increase.
