Bitcoin Price Predicted to Retest $60K Levels in August Before Rebound
Bitcoin's price is expected to drop to $60K in August before rebounding to $70K, according to a prediction by Andrey Poroshin, a financial analyst at Bitbanker. This downturn is attributed to a lack of support from macroeconomic decisions and the absence of new drivers from the Federal Reserve.
Poroshin noted that the Fed's decision to maintain interest rates has not provided any clear signals for the market, leading to moderate volatility and caution among participants. As a result, he expects Bitcoin's price to retest $60K levels before recovering towards $70K, a level still below the cost of mining in the U.S.
The analyst pointed out that the winding down of BitMEX operations could contribute to an upcoming price recovery by clearing weak hands from the market. Additionally, Poroshin does not see any significant impact from geopolitical shocks or the passage of the CLARITY Act on Bitcoin's price in August.
