Bitcoin Price Rallies Without Euphoria: Is This Bullish or a Warning Signal?

Bitcoin's price has been on a tear lately, breaking above $81,000 and showing no signs of slowing down. However, despite this impressive rally, market sentiment has begun to fade, leaving some wondering if this is a bullish sign or a warning signal.

The data from Santiment shows that the weighted sentiment has slipped into negative territory at -0.023, while the 7-day average stands at just +0.009. This suggests that despite the price surge from $62,800 to $81,272, traders remain cautious and unconvinced.

This lack of euphoria is a sign of disbelief rather than excitement, as the move appears to have been driven by positioning and macro catalysts like the recent Treasury announcement. In contrast to previous rallies, where retail investors became euphoric and piled into BTC, this time around, sentiment peaked early and then faded.

The Bitcoin price structure is also pointing to a critical resistance test between $79,000 and $80,000. A decisive daily close above $80,500 could open the door towards the pivotal resistance at $83,550.
