Bitcoin Price Rally Brings Warning Signs Amid Whale Sell-Off and Excessive Greed
Bitcoin's recent price surge has left many investors wondering what's next. In just two days, the cryptocurrency skyrocketed by over $15,000 to near $80,000 for the first time since mid-May.
However, not everyone is celebrating. A mysterious whale offloaded 2,700 BTC worth $77,216 today alone, as part of a larger sell-off of 7,700 BTC for $576.6 million in just three days.
The Fear and Greed Index has also reached an all-time high, surpassing 70 for the first time since October 2025. This excessive greed may lead to a trend reversal, according to Warren Buffett's famous quote that investors should be fearful when others are greedy.
Additionally, the RSI (Relative Strength Index) on a 4-hour chart hit an all-time high after BTC's surge to $79,700, which could also signal a potential correction.
