Bitcoin Price Rally Held Back by AI Investment Boom
Bitcoin's price rally has been limited by investors redirecting their capital to artificial intelligence-related investments, according to Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX.
Hayes noted that increased money supply conditions have not translated into momentum for Bitcoin due to the absorption of available market liquidity by AI technology companies and related supply chains.
He stated that individuals benefiting from the AI sector are focusing on hard assets or Nasdaq-related investments rather than increasing their crypto exposure, which has held back Bitcoin's price performance.
Lorenzo Valente, an ARK Invest researcher, also warned of increased consolidation in the cryptocurrency industry, with capital allocation becoming increasingly concentrated among fewer projects.
