Bitcoin Price Rally Hits Major Resistance from Long-Term Moving Averages
The price of Bitcoin has surged towards $80,000 after a strong weekly advance, but its rally is facing major resistance in the form of key technical indicators. The 50-week exponential moving average and the 21-week EMA are acting as hurdles for the cryptocurrency, according to Rekt Capital.
Despite trading at $77,231.62, Bitcoin still faces significant technical resistance around these long-term averages. To strengthen its case for further upside, BTC must reclaim these levels as support, Rekt Capital said.
The U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted a record-breaking $1.92 billion in weekly net inflows, their strongest week since October 2025. This surge in institutional demand coincided with the price rally, which broke above its summer range and cleared several lower highs over the past few weeks.
