Bitcoin Price Recovery Halted by Five Key Factors
Bitcoin's price recovery may be hindered by five key factors, according to Michael Saylor. In Strategy's Q2 earnings call, he noted that the crypto had dropped to its 200-week Moving Average (MA), a signal for potential price recovery. This is not the first time the 200-week MA has marked Bitcoin's bottoming phase, as it did in 2022.
Saylor identified artificial intelligence (AI) capital expansion, trade tensions, the Middle East crisis, and Fed rate policy as headwinds that are derailing Bitcoin's recovery. He believes these factors will become neutral or tailwinds if they improve.
The CLARITY Act delay is another factor that has blocked the crypto from seeing sustainable relief, according to Saylor. With the act having until next week to make progress and a potential Fed rate hike in September, investors are keeping a close eye on these developments.
