Bitcoin Price Recovery Stalls Amid Geopolitical Tensions and Inflation Concerns
Bitcoin's price recovery has hit a snag due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and inflation concerns. The US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen continued inflows, with $273.87 million in net inflows by Thursday, marking the third week of positive flows.
The institutional demand for Bitcoin remains strong, but it's being limited by the current macro environment. The rising crude oil prices and new tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump are reducing appetite for riskier assets and keeping BTC below its key moving averages.
Regulatory clarity could provide a much-needed boost to Bitcoin's price. Senate Republicans have released a draft of the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act, which aims to establish clearer rules for the US digital asset market. If passed, it could improve institutional confidence and reduce legal uncertainty across the cryptocurrency sector.
Bitcoin is currently trading below its 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $64,847, with a bearish weekly closing in sight. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped to 48, suggesting the bearish trend is regaining strength. A sustained close above the 50-day EMA could open the way toward $70,000, followed by the 200-day EMA near $73,040.
