Bitcoin Price Rises as Analysts Predict End of Bear Market
Bitcoin's price has risen 23% over the last week, sparking speculation about its future trajectory. Historically, Bitcoin has moved in cycles lasting around four years, with a bull market followed by a bear market.
In previous bear markets, Bitcoin hit lows of $152 in January 2015, $3,200 in December 2018, and $15,500 in November 2022. However, the current bear market is different, as it has occurred after the SEC approved Bitcoin ETFs and institutional inflows may have made the leading cryptocurrency more resilient.
Bitcoin's recent surge past its 200-day moving average on August 20 is seen as a positive sign, indicating that it could be starting its recovery phase. However, recoveries tend to be choppy, with an average time of 643 days to reach previous highs.
