Bitcoin Price Slips Below $64k Amid Hormuz Deal Uncertainty
Bitcoin's price fell below $64k on Tuesday as uncertainty over a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz weighed on investor sentiment.
The world's largest Bitcoin holder, Strategy, disclosed that it had sold 1,690 coins for a total of $109 million. This is Strategy's fifth sale of its Bitcoin holdings this year, with the company using the proceeds to repay debt and cover dividend commitments.
Riot, a major Bitcoin miner, signed a $9 billion deal with Anthropic to provide computing power over the next 20 years. The deal overshadowed Riot's recent quarterly loss due to falling Bitcoin prices.
