Bitcoin Price Slips Below $64K as Traders Cut Risk Ahead of Inflation Data
Bitcoin's price fell below $64,000 on August 11 as traders became risk-averse ahead of fresh U.S. inflation data and rising oil prices revived concerns about the Federal Reserve's rate path.
The cryptocurrency traded near $63,855, down 1.6%, after failing to establish support above $65,000 this week.
Ether fell 2.2% and XRP lost 2.1%, while Hyperliquid and Chainlink advanced against broader weakness.
The U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $144.6 million in net outflows on Monday after five consecutive inflow sessions, with BlackRock's IBIT and Grayscale's GBTC withdrawing $53.6 million and $52 million respectively.
