Bitcoin Price Stabilizes Near $63,650 Amid Key Resistance at $66,300
Bitcoin's price has stabilized near $63,650 after months of volatility following June's market sell-off and its subsequent recovery from below $60,000. The cryptocurrency spent much of August consolidating within a relatively narrow trading range.
The current positioning has created an immediate battle between buyers and sellers around the $63,000-$64,000 zone, which is considered an important area to watch for Bitcoin's next move.
One encouraging development is that BTC is no longer trading substantially below its short-term moving averages, suggesting eased selling pressure and some short-term stability.
However, the current consolidation has yet to develop into a convincing bullish trend reversal. The technical outlook remains weak due to Bitcoin remaining below its declining intermediate moving average near $66,300, which represents a major resistance level.
A sustained breakout above $66,300 would represent the first meaningful bullish signal and potentially open the path toward the psychologically important $70,000 level, followed by the longer-term resistance zone around $71,600.
