Bitcoin Price Stalls at $60K, Higher-Timeframe Trend Remains Bearish
Bitcoin's recent price action has left investors wondering whether it will continue to rise or fall back into its previous downtrend. The cryptocurrency has been consolidating just above the $60K region after a volatile first half of 2026, during which it dropped from January highs near $96K.
The rebound off the June lows has restored some short-term optimism, but the price is now stalling directly beneath a confluence of moving-average resistance. Whether this becomes the start of a genuine trend reversal or simply another lower high inside the broader downtrend will likely be decided over the next several sessions.
On the daily timeframe, Bitcoin remains capped below both its 100-day and 200-day moving averages, which are converging near the $70K zone and still slope downward. This is a sign that the higher-timeframe trend has not yet flipped bullish.
