Bitcoin's price struggled to maintain gains above $80,500 on Monday, settling at around $79,493 according to TradingView. This comes after a failed push over the weekend.

The market is closely watching these levels as Bitcoin enters the week, with some analysts warning of potential volatility. Kaz, an analyst, had predicted a 'Sunday scam pump' and recommended longs only if Bitcoin holds near $78,500.

RSI (14) has cooled from an overbought spike above 80 to 64.25, indicating momentum is fading after the recent squeeze. CoinGlass's derivatives data shows a market still leveraged but not in a cascade, with open interest standing at around $140 billion and futures volume at about $143 billion.

Analyst Gerla has expressed caution, stating that he is 'still not convinced' Bitcoin has bottomed. He points to the duration of previous correction cycles, which took roughly 364 days to complete. The current decline from the 2025 peak stands at around 329 days.
