Last week, Bitcoin's price surge drew significant inflows into spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with $1.92 billion flowing in on a net basis.

This marks the strongest weekly inflow since October 2025, according to data compiled by SoSoValue. The influx occurred as Bitcoin rose above $78,000 late in the week, improving ETF supply and demand rapidly, reported Cointelegraph on Aug. 24.

The largest contributor to these inflows was BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), which drew a total of $1.33 billion over five consecutive trading days last week. Daily inflows rose from $160.2 million on Aug. 18 to $503 million on Aug. 21, then eased to $239.3 million on Aug. 22.

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas described IBIT's daily flows as a 'classic Flipping the Bird pattern', which he sees as a bullish signal.
