Bitcoin Price Surges as ETF Inflows Soar Amid Treasury and Trump-Driven Interest
Bitcoin's price has been climbing, reaching nearly $80,000 on August 27, following a surge in demand for exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF has captured most of the inflows, with a $693 million burst in the first week of August and a whopping $503 million on August 20 alone.
The Treasury's recent statement about buying back long-dated government bonds may be driving some of the inflows, as investors seek riskier assets with higher returns.
Additionally, President Trump's White House summit with crypto industry leaders on August 19 has led to increased interest in Bitcoin, as regulators suggest new rules will follow even if the Clarity Act fails this year.
