The Bitcoin price has been hovering near $79,972 after gaining 0.43% over the past 24 hours, leaving it within striking distance of the crucial $85,000 mark.
The broader crypto market also saw a boost, rising by 0.98% with its capitalization at $2.72 trillion and investor confidence bolstered by strong demand.
Major altcoins such as Solana and Ethereum were among the top performers, with Solana surging 4.07% to $106.57 and Ethereum advancing 2.02% to $2,502.82.
XRP and BNB also saw gains of 1.23% and 0.60%, respectively, while the Fear and Greed Index on CoinMarketCap stood at 75, indicating a high degree of investor confidence or 'greed'.
Several factors could influence Bitcoin's price trajectory in the coming days, including the anticipated September 15 Senate vote on the CLARITY Act, which aims to separate regulatory oversight between the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
The Federal Open Market Committee is also scheduled to meet on September 15-16, where economic projections are expected to be discussed.
