Bitcoin Price Target Set at $150,000 by Former Credit Suisse Risk Head

Bitcoin has likely seen its worst in this cycle and could reach $150,000 by late 2027, according to CK Zheng, a former global head of valuation risk at Credit Suisse. Zheng now co-founded and serves as CIO of ZX Squared Capital.

In an interview with Investing.com, Zheng stated that the crypto industry is currently in a healthier state than during previous bear markets, thanks to rapid institutional adoption. He noted that business failures such as Terra/Luna, Celsius, Voyager, and FTX were largely driven by retail hype rather than long-term investment.

Zheng expects the passing of the CLARITY Act to bring more institutional investors into the market, triggering a new bull run. He tied his price target to fiscal pressures, anticipating U.S. debt to rise at an unprecedented pace in 2027 and driving institutional investors to hedge their dollar debasement risk by investing in Bitcoin.
