Bitcoin Price Teeters at $80,000 as Technical and On-Chain Signals Diverge
Bitcoin's price is hovering near the critical $80,000 level as technical and on-chain signals diverge. According to crypto analyst Ted Pillows, regaining control of the 50-week moving average could pave the way for Bitcoin to reach $88,000-$90,000.
The 50-week simple moving average (SMA) is around $80,326.65, while the 50-week exponential moving average (EMA) sits near $77,329.10. Bitcoin is currently trading between these two averages, with the 50-week EMA acting as nearby support and the 50-week SMA sitting just above $80,000 as resistance.
On-chain activity remains stable, with active addresses holding steady close to 680,000 and transactions ranging from 550,000 to 600,000 per day. However, short-term technical indicators are showing signs of weakness, making the upcoming move significant.
