Bitcoin Price Teeters on Edge of Key Support Level
Bitcoin's price is currently flatlining at $78,335, with momentum dwindling and active sellers overpowering buyers. This has led to a retest of the strong support level at $77,334.
The market is in limbo, with Bitcoin trading right at the midpoint of its Bollinger Bands. The 0.49% B reading suggests that the tape is in a decision vacuum, which doesn't last long. The MACD histogram has printed zero, indicating that the momentum engine has stalled.
The RSI is hovering around 60, showing that buyers aren't exhausted but aren't aggressive either. Meanwhile, the Stochastic oscillator is in oversold territory on a daily basis, historically preceding short-term reversals in Bitcoin's choppier consolidation phases.
The structural picture remains intact, with BTC sitting $8,300 above both its 50-day and 200-day moving averages. However, the bear case only becomes structural if price collapses back through the mid-$69K zone, which is nowhere near happening.
