Bitcoin Price Treads Water Near Resistance Ahead of $90K Target
Bitcoin's recent price action has caught the attention of traders and analysts alike. The cryptocurrency has been consolidating beneath several technical barriers, including resistance near $79,500. However, a rapid advance from $63,000 to $79,500 in just five days suggests that buyers are still active in the market.
The daily 50- and 100-day MAs crossing is an event that occurred previously in 2023, when Bitcoin fell 17% before rallying 546%. This historical data may inform Bitcoin price analysis, but it cannot guarantee another rally. Nevertheless, a close above $82,825 would validate the strength of the momentum and weaken the lower-high sequence.
Analyst Ted identifies two decisive weekly averages: reclaiming the 50-week MA supports an $88,000, $90,000 target, while closing below the 50-week EMA shifts attention toward $74,000. The Bitcoin price held its 50-week exponential moving average despite rejection from the 50-week simple moving average, supporting the recovery.
