Bitcoin Price Tumbles Below $63K as Range Compression Raises Bearish Concerns
Bitcoin's price has slipped below $63,000 as it continues to trade within a narrow range. This decline is not a breakout, but rather part of an ongoing consolidation pattern that began in late May and June.
The lower boundary of this range sits near $58,100, while resistance remains concentrated around $67,000. Bitcoin is currently testing an intermediate support shelf at $62,745, with the psychologically important $60,000 level immediately below it.
According to analysts, the current setup is worth watching due to the compression of horizontal support, a descending trendline, and two moving averages. This range cannot narrow indefinitely, making a break either above or below it crucial.
A break below $58,097 would remove the lower boundary of the current consolidation and open the path to $53,181 and then $49,000, representing a 22% downside risk from the current price near $62,790. To invalidate this bearish structure, Bitcoin would need to break the descending trendline and close above the horizontal resistance at approximately $67,044.
