Bitcoin Pulls Back Below $80K Amid Hawkish Rhetoric
Crypto markets experienced a pullback in the past week, with Bitcoin (BTC) falling 4.64% to $77,413 and Ethereum (ETH) dropping 4.26% to around $2,470.
The decline was triggered by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish Jackson Hole remarks, which lifted Treasury yields and rate-hike expectations.
In contrast, institutional demand for crypto assets remains strong, with U.S. Bitcoin ETFs attracting roughly $925 million from August 24-28 and Ethereum ETFs drawing about $816 million across five straight positive sessions.
Solana (SOL) also saw significant inflows, with its ETF recording its strongest daily trading volume of 2026 on August 27, exceeding $126 million in a single session.
