Bitcoin Rallies Above $70,000, But Long Road Ahead for Crypto Comeback

Crypto investors have reason to be optimistic as Bitcoin has surged above $70,000 for the first time in over two months.

However, despite this rally, Bitcoin remains roughly 10% below its starting price in 2026 and is still far from its record high of around $125,000 reached last fall.

According to Vanessa Grellet, managing partner at crypto venture firm Arche Capital, the recent selloff did lasting damage due to a 'huge crunch' when borrowed money leaves the markets combined with concerns over tariffs and interest rates staying higher for longer.

Experts agree that several factors will determine crypto's comeback, including whether it can win back investors, how the Fed hikes interest rates, and if mainstream finance embraces it.
