Bitcoin Rally Turns MicroStrategy's $9.5B Loss into $4.7B Profit
Michael Saylor's strategy at MicroStrategy has turned an unrealized loss of more than $9.5 billion into a paper profit above $4.7 billion in just seven days, thanks to Bitcoin's rapid climb.
The price of Bitcoin has risen from the low $60,000s to above $80,000 over the same week, marking a significant turnaround for the largest corporate BTC holder.
This shift follows a broad market movement, with Bitcoin up roughly 25% in a week and about 4% in 24 hours at the time of writing, according to CoinGecko data.
The rally has also had a notable impact on other assets, including Ethereum, which has gained 32% in the week, pushing its price above $2,500, and XRP, which has broken past $1.50.
