Bitcoin Rebound Falters at $64K as Large-Cap Alts Surge
Bitcoin's rebound from $62,200 to $64,200 has been met with resistance, as it failed to break through the range twice. Despite this, larger-cap altcoins like ADA, AVAX, and DOT have seen significant gains of over 5%, while HYPE rose by around 4%. Other altcoins such as ZEC, ETH, SOL, BNB, DOGE, and XMR also saw price increases.
The market capitalization of Bitcoin has recovered to approximately $1.275 trillion, but its dominance remains below 57%. This suggests that larger altcoins are gaining traction despite BTC's struggles to escape consolidation. Cardano (ADA) was the standout performer among large-cap tokens, approaching $0.20 and reaching its strongest level in weeks.
Futures data also indicate a strong buying sentiment for ADA, with open interest reaching a record 2.79 billion tokens. However, the market's improvement remains selective, and not all assets are participating equally. Audiera's BEAT fell by around 20% daily to below $3, while UNI, STABLE, and CC also declined.
