Bitcoin Rebounds on Falling Rate Fears
Bitcoin (BTC) surged by 4.8% over the past 24 hours as of 2:50 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 3, after U.S. Treasury yields fell and investors became less worried about an impending interest rate hike from the Federal Reserve.
The drop in rate fears helped Bitcoin rebound, with other high-risk assets like cryptocurrencies also benefiting.
U.S. Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller stated that he would support leaving interest rates unchanged if August inflation data is positive, which led to a decrease in market expectations for an upcoming rate increase.
Bond yields also dipped slightly from their recent highs, further contributing to the favorable environment for higher-risk assets like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
