Bitcoin Reclaims $77K, Total Crypto Market Cap Surges Past $2.6T
Bitcoin's price recovered from its dip to $75,500 last weekend and is now trading above $77,500, up by over 21% since Monday. The bulls have been putting pressure on the asset, which broke through the upper boundary at $65,000 last Wednesday.
The primary cryptocurrency experienced a quick rejection after reaching $70,000 but eventually skyrocketed to $72,000 by Thursday morning. It then initiated another leg up that culminated in Friday's jump to almost $80,000 for the first time in over three months.
However, the trend changed, and BTC started recovering some ground on Wednesday and Monday. Its market cap has climbed to $1.555 trillion on CG, while its dominance over the alts has taken a minor hit and is just below 58%.
