Bitcoin Reclaims Top Spot as Best-Performing Asset Over Past Decade
Bitcoin has reclaimed its position as the top-performing major asset over the past decade, surpassing Nvidia Corp. in a stunning turn of events. According to data from TradingView, Bitcoin's 10-year return stands at an impressive 13,491%, while Nvidia's return is slightly lower at 13,428%.
This marks a significant shift in the market dynamics, with Bitcoin edging out Nvidia in a closely contested battle for the top spot. The cryptocurrency has been on a tear lately, surging above $80,000 for the first time in over three months and registering a 25% gain in just one week.
Nvidia, which had previously held the top spot, still managed to deliver impressive returns of 820% over the past decade. However, its Sharpe Ratio stood at -1.20, indicating that investment in the stock was generating lower expected returns compared to a risk-free investment.
