Bitcoin Rejected at $81,500 Amid Massive Sell Walls
Bitcoin's rally to $81,500 was short-lived as it pulled back below $79,300, failing to hold the critical $80,000 support level for the second time in a week. The price drop wiped out $300 million in crypto liquidations following Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's speech.
Heavy sell walls and a massive downward liquidity skew of $5.7 billion leave Bitcoin vulnerable to deeper pullbacks. According to market analysis outlet Cryptoreviewing, the cryptocurrency swept the upside liquidity zone at $80,400 to $81,600 almost perfectly but failed to hold $80,000.
Order-book imbalances suggest a deeper pullback remains a meaningful higher-timeframe risk. The largest liquidity pockets are clustered at $78,600 and $79,100 below and $81,300 and $81,900 above.
