Bitcoin Resists Sell-Off, But Three Risks Threaten Further Decline
Bitcoin's price has held steady near $64,600 despite market volatility caused by renewed US-Iran fighting and a hawkish Federal Reserve. The cryptocurrency remains trapped in a range capped at $66,500, with its recovery from a low of $62,383 unable to extend beyond.
The Fed maintained interest rates at 3.5%-3.75%, but three policymakers voted for a quarter-point rate increase. Higher energy prices, fueled by a 6.6% surge in crude oil, have raised inflation expectations and reduced the appeal of speculative assets like cryptocurrencies.
Despite these headwinds, Bitcoin's price has shown resilience, recovering from its decline following the Fed's announcement. However, the asset remains vulnerable to further losses, with potential downside targets near $63,000 and $60,000.
