Bitcoin Rises Above $81K as Hype and ZEC Reach New Heights
Bitcoin broke through the $81,000 barrier in early September 2026, rising 4-5% over the course of a single day. This milestone caps a gradual recovery from lows around $60,000 earlier this year.
The rally wasn't limited to Bitcoin alone, as Zcash and Hyperliquid's HYPE token also reached new all-time highs. Total cryptocurrency market capitalization has surpassed $2.7 trillion.
Two key factors are driving the move: decreased expectations for a near-term Federal Reserve rate hike and increased inflows into US Bitcoin ETFs. Single-day inflows hit a peak of $730 million, with another notable session pulling in $277 million.
