Bitcoin Rises Amid Dollar Debasement Trade Concerns
Bitcoin has been rising amid concerns about the value of the US dollar, also referred to as the 'dollar debasement trade.'
Investors are seeking alternative investments away from the dollar due to worries over high levels of US debt and potential prolonged inflation.
The US Treasury's decision to double its purchases of longer-term securities last week has also contributed to the growth in cryptocurrency values, with Bitcoin reaching $78,811 on August 27th, a 0.5% increase from the previous day.
Although Bitcoin remains below its three-month peak of $81,237, it continues to stay close to this level and is driven by investors seeking safety away from the dollar.
