Bitcoin Rockets Past $81,000 as Iran War Talks Intensify
Bitcoin has broken past $81,000 as reports suggest that the Iran war may be coming to an end. According to The Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump's inner circle is advising him to declare the war officially over due to pressure from midterm elections.
Fed Governor Christopher Waller also signaled a potential rate hold in September, further fueling the Bitcoin rally. This comes after reports that six commodity vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, down from 11 a day earlier and well below the 10-day average of around 13.
The oil market reacted differently to the news, with Brent crude rising towards $98 a barrel - a six-week high.
While Trump's private talks suggest a potential end to the war, Pentagon officials are digging in, with army air-defense tours reportedly stretching from nine months to twelve. Some units could stay into 2027.
