Bitcoin Scarcity: CZ Predicts Millionaires Can't Own Full BTC by 2026

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) made a bold prediction about Bitcoin's scarcity. As of August 2026, CZ noted that more than 20 million BTC will have been mined, surpassing the current amount in circulation.

CZ pointed out that only 4.4% of the total supply of 21 million is yet to be mined. He compared this to the estimated number of millionaires in the US, which is approximately 23.6 million. This means that soon, millionaires will struggle to own a full Bitcoin.

CZ also emphasized that he estimates 10 to 20 percent of existing Bitcoins are lost or inaccessible. This limited supply, combined with an estimated 4.4% remaining in circulation, could lead to further price increases.
