Bitcoin Seeps into Traditional Finance

Instruments

Share

The traditional financial system is gradually opening up to Bitcoin ownership without the need for direct crypto app involvement.

Grayscale expects this trend to continue due to factors such as government deficits, increasing adoption of blockchain technology by institutions, and younger investors gaining a larger share of financial assets.

The distribution system now allows people to own Bitcoin through conventional finance channels, including brokerage accounts, portfolio management systems, and retirement products.

A recent survey found that 42% of advisers can purchase crypto in client accounts, up from 35% in 2024 and 19% in 2023. Among these advisers, 64% reported client allocations above 2%, compared to 51% in the previous survey.
