Bitcoin Sees Third Consecutive Week of Gains Amid Market Volatility
Bitcoin is heading for its third consecutive week of gains, after rising to $82,272.31 on September 4 and currently trading at $81,151.10.
This represents a 4.6% increase since the start of the week, according to CNBC Top News.
The cryptocurrency's price broke above the $70,000 mark at the end of August and has continued to rise since then.
According to Dominika Nestarovka, an executive director for digital assets at Goldman Sachs, this is linked to the revival of the 'debasement trade', in which investors move funds out of the dollar into assets such as cryptocurrencies or gold.
