Bitcoin Sell Wall at $80K Price Point May Not Be as Strong as It Appears
Data from HODL15Capital reveals that there's a significant accumulation of sell orders around the $80,000 mark for Bitcoin. On Binance, approximately $31.98 million in sell orders are clustered near $79,945, with another $13.2 million nearby at $80,000. Additionally, Coinbase has about $38.74 million in sell orders at this price point.
Some of these sell orders have been posted for an extended period, such as the ones on Binance near $80,000, which have been around for roughly 99 days. Others, near $82,500, have been present for about 108 days. This has led analysts to speculate that the current sell wall may not be as robust as it appears.
According to HODL15Capital's analysis, the effectiveness of this sell wall will only be confirmed when Bitcoin approaches the $80,000 price mark and the willingness to sell orders is put to the test after further upward movement. The accumulation of these long-standing sell orders on major platforms like Binance and Coinbase raises questions about their genuine intention to sell at these levels.
