Bitcoin Sentiment Lifted by Reduced Selling Pressure and ETF Inflows
Bitcoin market sentiment has improved due to reduced selling pressure from Strategy and increased inflows into spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to a recent analysis by Bitfinex.
Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, is one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin. Its buying and selling activities are closely watched by investors because large-scale disposals could flood the market and push prices down. Last week, Strategy neither bought nor sold Bitcoin but secured net proceeds and US dollar reserves through common stock sales.
This move significantly reduced the selling pressure tied to Strategy's BTC holdings, which had been a key overhang on the market. Bitfinex highlighted that Strategy has indicated plans to resume Bitcoin purchases in the future, reassuring investors that the company remains committed to its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
In addition to this positive development, spot Bitcoin ETFs have posted their largest weekly net inflows since October last year. This resurgence in institutional interest is seen as a key driver of improved market flows and suggests that traditional investors are regaining confidence in Bitcoin as an asset class.
