Bitcoin Sentiment Shifts to Neutral Territory Amid Decline in Price Targets
Santiment's analysis of social media sentiment suggests that the decline in calls for Bitcoin to reach $150,000 or higher may be a constructive market signal. The firm measures market sentiment through the ratio of bullish to bearish comments, which has shifted from 'extreme bearishness' back to 'neutral territory'.
This shift makes near-term trading decisions more difficult rather than easier, according to Santiment. The decline in retail enthusiasm is reflected in a decrease in FOMO-driven commentary.
Earlier this year, prominent voices such as Arthur Hayes and Tom Lee called for Bitcoin to reach as high as $250,000, but the asset peaked at $126,100 in October before entering a downtrend that pushed it below its January starting price by year's end.
