Bitcoin Shatters Weekly Price Record as Bear Market Fears Fade
Bitcoin's price surged by a record-breaking $14,264 from August 17 to 23, marking its largest weekly increase in history. The cryptocurrency closed the week at $77,387, with a gain of 22.4% according to TradingView.
During this rally, Bitcoin's price exceeded $79,000 on Binance, reaching $79,500 - its highest point since mid-May.
Matt Cole, head of Strive, identified this performance as a sign that the bear market has ended. He noted that Bitcoin's price in gold has twice led the digital asset's movement against the dollar, and now it is breaking upward levels against both the dollar and gold simultaneously.
