Bitcoin Short-Term Holders See Longest Profit Streak Since Market Top
Bitcoin's short-term holders have seen profits for nearly a month, marking a significant milestone in the market. According to data from CryptoQuant, Bitcoin speculators have held onto profits since August 16, with $168.2 billion in profit versus $102.6 billion in loss.
This phenomenon is often seen as a key sign of market strength and has historically preceded price reversals. The broader investor base has also remained in net profit since August 19, indicating a sustained uptrend.
CryptoQuant notes that the ratio of profits to losses among short-term holders is less important than the fact that they have held onto at least some profit for 30 consecutive days.
This marks the longest such streak this year and echoes similar periods of profitability observed in previous market cycles, including at the end of Bitcoin's 2022 bear market. The data suggests that profits settling in among short-term holders is a prerequisite for a long-term price uptrend.
