Bitcoin Sinks Below $63,000 Amid Market Drop; LINK and WLFI Post Double-Digit Gains

The past week saw significant fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market, led by Bitcoin's decline from over $65,000 to close just above $63,200, a loss of approximately 3.2%.

This marked a mid-August market pullback after the first week of August showed modest gains.

The latest inflation report and lull in hostilities in the Middle East contributed to global markets rising, but Bitcoin's decline was largely driven by Strategy's announcement that it had offloaded 1,690 bitcoins, which weighed on the asset.

Besides Bitcoin, several high-cap altcoins trended downward during the period, with XRP shedding nearly 4% and ADA falling 10.6%, marking the largest decline among top-tier digital assets.
