Bitcoin Sinks to 2-Week Lows Amid Rising Oil Prices
Bitcoin's price has dropped to its lowest in two weeks, falling by 2.9% on Monday to $63,018.
This comes as US stocks diverged from Asian markets, with American equities remaining stagnant while Asian indices staged a relief bounce.
The decline was driven by concerns over potential Federal Reserve rate hikes and rising oil prices, which have surpassed $100 per barrel due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
Ether also suffered losses, dropping 4.1% during the session and underperforming Bitcoin on the downside.
