Bitcoin Slips Back to $77K Amid US-Iran Tensions and Rate Fears
Bitcoin's price fell back to around $77,000 on September 2 after a strong rally in August lost steam. The pullback was driven by rising Treasury yields and renewed tensions between the US and Iran.
The US-Iran military strikes and higher bond yields made speculative assets like Bitcoin less attractive to investors, causing its price to drop 0.2% to $77,132.
However, despite the correction, whales continued buying, purchasing approximately 6,765 BTC worth around $521 million over the same period.
The key levels to watch are accumulation support at $62,000-$65,000 and LTH supply at $83,000-$86,000. The September 25 options expiry holds around $14 billion in open interest, with most strike prices concentrated above $80,000.
