Bitcoin Slips Below $80,000 as Crypto Markets Decline
Crypto markets took a hit in evening trading as Bitcoin slipped below the closely watched $80,000 threshold. The leading cryptocurrency fell by 1.47% to $79,170.76, setting a cautious tone for the wider market.
Ethereum followed suit, declining by 0.96% to $2,490.70, while other major assets like Cardano and Solana saw significant losses of 1.38% and 2.41%, respectively.
The session was marked by widespread selling pressure across the board, with XRP and BNB also falling by 1.90% and 1.75%, respectively. However, one asset managed to buck the trend: Avalanche, which climbed by 2.52% to $8.11.
