Bitcoin Slips Below $80,000 as Crypto Markets Experience Broad Selling Pressure
Crypto markets experienced broad selling pressure in evening trading, with most major digital assets posting losses. Bitcoin led the decline, falling 0.84% to $78,430.24, which is below the psychologically significant $80,000 level.
Ethereum and other popular coins were also down, with Ethereum inched lower by 0.40% to $2,479.83, Solana fell 0.91% to $102.91, and Cardano dropped 0.85% to $0.22.
However, not all assets followed the downward trend. BNB stood out as a relative bright spot, climbing 1.64% to $752.12, while XRP rose 1.25% to $1.41.
The divergence between the gainers and the broader market suggests selective appetite among traders rather than any broad-based recovery in risk sentiment. Analysts will be watching closely whether support levels hold as the session progresses into the overnight hours.
