Bitcoin Slips to $64K Amid Oil Surge, Ethereum Fluctuates
Bitcoin pulled back to around $64,000 on Saturday after maintaining its position near $65,000 on Friday. Ethereum hovered below $1,860. Despite crude oil's surge past $97 due to Iran-conflict risk, Bitcoin held firm against the usual playbook where oil spikes pressure risk assets.
The Fear & Greed Index slipped to 27, indicating cautious sentiment. Bitmine slowed its Ethereum buying pace, adding just 7,430 ETH (about $14 million) last week as it closes in on a goal of cornering 5% of ETH's total supply.
Bitcoin ETFs have seen a seven-session inflow streak of around $999 million through July 22. Spot Ethereum ETFs drew $103.9 million in the week ending July 24, their third consecutive positive week and the largest weekly haul of any spot crypto ETF over that stretch.
