Bitcoin Slumps as MSTR Stock Drops on Q2 Miss

Strategy's (MSTR) shares fell more than 8% on Friday after reporting Q2 results that missed Wall Street expectations. The company attributed the loss to a 'meaningful bitcoin price decline' alongside 'muted bitcoin sentiment and market skepticism.'

According to Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, there are five major headwinds working against Bitcoin right now. He cited AI data center construction as one of them, stating that it has diverted more than $1 trillion of capital into infrastructure projects.

Saylor also identified global trade tensions and tariff uncertainty, a tighter Federal Reserve policy, and delays in regulatory clarity surrounding digital assets as factors weighing on Bitcoin demand.
